Rachel Platten’s “Wildfire” Pacing For 27-30K First-Week US Sales

Rachel Platten’s “Wildfire” may be headed for a Top 5 bow on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart.

According to Hits Daily Double, the album is presently expected to sell 27-30,000 pure US copies this week.

Among current projections, the “Wildfire” figure ranks as the fourth-greatest. Adele’s “25” (~150-170K) and Justin Bieber’s “Purpose” (~50-55K) will clearly lead the race, while Chris Stapleton’s “Traveller” is eyeing a third place finish with ~30-35,000.

Projected for 25-28,000 weekly sales, One Direction’s “Made In The AM” is on track to join the Platten, Adele, Bieber, and Stapleton albums in the Top 5.

Her third studio album overall, “Wildfire” is Platten’s first major label release — and first since breaking through with “Fight Song.”
