Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” Certified 2X Platinum in the United States

Justin Bieber’s smash “Sorry,” which remains the #2 song on Billboard’s Hot 100, is now a multi-platinum single in the United States.

According to the RIAA, the “Purpose” single received a 2x platinum certification on December 17, 2015.

The 2x certification confirms a US unit total of at least 2 million. One unit is equal to 1 paid download or 100 streams.

“Sorry” joins “What Do You Mean?” and “Where Are U Now” (originally promoted as a Skrillex & Diplo single) as the third “Purpose” track to reach double platinum status.

As an album, “Purpose” is platinum in the US.
