Adele’s “25” Sells Another 1.15 Million US Copies, Wins Fifth Straight Sales Race

For Adele’s “25,” the fifth week of availability marked the third in which it sold over 1 million US copies.

It marked the fifth in which it obliterated the competition and ranked as America’s best-selling album.

According to Nielsen Music, “25” sold 1.15 million US copies during the December 18-24 tracking week. The tally allows “25” to easily retain its #1 spot on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart.

At the conclusion of the December 18-24 tracking week, the juggernaut album boasted a US sales total of 7.13 million.

With Track Equivalent Albums (track sales/10) and Streaming Equivalent Albums (track streams/1500) added to its pure sales total, Adele generated 1.19 million weekly consumption units. The total earns “25” a fifth straight week atop the Billboard 200.
