While it suffered weekly declines in sales and streaming, Adele’s “Hello” was still this past week’s hottest overall song.
As a result, it earns a seventh straight week at #1 on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100.
Contributing to the song’s Hot 100 chart points were 168 million weekly US radio impressions (+1%, #1 on Radio Songs), 26.4 million weekly US streams (-4%, #1 on Streaming Songs) and 158,000 weekly US sales (-32%, #2 on Digital Songs).
Though this week’s sales mark trailed last week’s, it was enough to bring “Hello” past the 3 million cumulative mark. Through the end of the 12/4-10 tracking week, “Hello” had sold 3.1 million copies in the US.
The 7-week reign ties a career high for Adele, whose “Rolling In The Deep” also spent seven weeks at #1.
Like #1, the next three positions also feature stagnancy. Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” is again #2, while Drake’s “Hotline Bling” and Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?” are #3 and #4, respectively.
Change occurs at #5, as Bieber’s “Love Yourself” rises two places to that spot. To date, the song’s peak position is #4.
The Weeknd’s “The Hills” follows at #6 (-1), while Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches” occupies the #7 slot (-1). Alessia Cara’s “Here” holds at its #8 peak.
Up one place, Selena Gomez’ “Same Old Love” grabs a new peak of #9. Meghan Trainor’s “Like I’m Gonna Lose You (featuring John Legend)” closes out the Top 10 with a one-position slide to #10.
