Adele’s “25” Crosses the 5 Million US Sales Mark; Still Pacing For 650K In Week Three

The December 4-10 tracking week is not yet over, but enough data is available to confirm that Adele’s “25” has crossed the 5 million US sales mark.

According to Nielsen Music, “25” had sold at least 510,000 weekly US copies through Wednesday, December 9. Since it had sold 4.49 million copies going into the most recent tracking week, the additional 510,000 sales brought the album’s cumulative mark past 5 million.

When final data from 12/9 and 12/10 is tabulated, insiders expect “25” will claim a weekly total in the neighborhood of 650,000. That would earn “25” a third straight week atop the Top Album Sales chart.
