Taylor Swift, Chris Stapleton Score Album of the Year Grammy Nominations

For the third time in her career, Taylor Swift will compete for an Album of the Year Grammy.

And she’ll do so against an artist with whom she collaborated, an artist with whom she has shared the stage, the most buzzworthy name in her former genre, and one of music’s most critically acclaimed acts.

In addition to Swift’s “1989,” this year’s Album of the Year field includes Kendrick Lamar’s “To Pimp A Butterfly,” The Weeknd’s “Beauty Behind The Madness,” Chris Stapleton’s “Traveller,” and Alabama Shakes’ “Sound & Color.”

None of the nominations is surprising.
