Justin Bieber’s “Purpose” Sold 130.2K in Week 3; US Sales Total Now 835.3K

Justin Bieber’s “Purpose” crossed the 500,000 US sales mark during its first week of release. It crossed the 700,000 sales mark during its second week of release.

It crossed the 800,000 mark during its third week of release.

According to Nielsen Music, “Purpose” sold 130,179 pure US copies during the November 27-December 3 tracking week. Enough for #2 on Top Album Sales, the weekly tally brought the album’s cumulative US total to 835,262.

In addition to retaining its #2 position on Top Album Sales, “Purpose” holds #2 on the consumption-oriented Billboard 200.

With Track Equivalent Albums (10 single sales = 1 unit) and Streaming Equivalent Albums (1500 single streams = 1 unit) added to its pure sales total, “Purpose” generated 211,000 in week three consumption units.
