Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” Headed For Top 5 at Pop Radio; Meghan Trainor Going Top 10

Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” is on track to claim a Top 5 position on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

The second “Purpose” single received 5,903 spins during the first three days of the November 29-December 5 tracking week. Up 21% from the previous week’s figure, the count positions “Sorry” at #5 on Mediabase’s building airplay chart.

Absent an imminent threat from below, “Sorry” will have no trouble retaining its Top 5 position through the close of the tracking week. Given its rate of growth, it actually stands a solid chance of improving its position before the end of the week.

As “Sorry” heads for the Top 5, Meghan Trainor’s “Like I’m Gonna Lose You (featuring John Legend)” is moving toward the Top 10. The fourth “Title” single, which received 4,763 spins during the tracking week’s first three days (+11.1%), is #10 on the building airplay chart. It should have no trouble retaining that position through the close of the tracking week.

“Sorry” was officially #7 on last week’s airplay chart. “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” was #11.
