While it did not rival the numbers posted by the Donald Trump – Sia episode, this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” did enjoy week-over-week gains.
Per metered market data, the Matthew McConaughey-Adele edition of “SNL” drew a 4.6 overnight household rating. While not on par with the 6.6 posted by the aforementioned Trump episode, it does best the 4.0 drawn by last week’s Elizabeth Banks-Disclosure installment.
It also ranks as the second-best “SNL” rating (again, save for the Trump episode) since the Blake Shelton-hosted broadcast drew a 4.7 in January.
Per data from the twenty five markets with local people meters, this weekend’s “SNL” drew a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating. That trails the 2.7 posted by the Trump episode but bests the 1.9 scored by last week’s edition.
Save for that of the Trump episode, the rating ranks as the best for an “SNL” episode since the Woody Harrelson-Kendrick Lamar broadcast aired in November 2014.
