Adele’s “Hello” Reaches #1 at Pop Radio, Selena Gomez’ “Same Old Love” Enters Top 5

In addition to reaching #1 at hot adult contemporary radio, Adele’s “Hello” soars to the #1 position on Mediabase’s pop radio airplay chart.

Spun ~17,328 times during the November 15-21 tracking week (+3,733), “Hello” enjoys a three-place rise to #1. It seizes the throne from Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches,” which slips to #2 after two weeks on top. Mendes’ single received ~16,674 weekly spins (-542).

“Hello” is now the #1 song at four radio formats. Prior to reaching the top spots on the pop and Hot AC charts, “Hello” had ascended to #1 at Triple A and adult contemporary radio.

As for pop, Drake’s “Hotline Bling” holds at #3 this week on the strength of ~15,842 spins (+941). Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams” slips two places to #4 (~15,350 spins, -735), while Selena Gomez’ “Same Old Love” enjoys a three place lift to #5 (~12,119 spins, +1,115).

“Same Old Love” is making its first appearance in the Top 5.
