Ratings: “Follow The Rules” Improves Slightly Following MTV’s “Catfish” Special

Airing out of the latest “Catfish: The Untold Stories,” Monday’s back-to-back “Follow The Rules” episodes posted slight week-over-week gains in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

Per Nielsen cable data, MTV’s 10PM “Follow The Rules” posted a 0.18 adults 18-49 rating and drew 377,000 total viewers. The 10:30PM follow-up scored a 0.17 with 353,000.

Both episodes narrowly outperformed last week’s corresponding installments. Airing out of the “Awkward” midseason finale, last week’s 10PM “Rules” drew a 0.17 rating and 351,000 total viewers. The 10:30PM episode posted a 0.16 and attracted an audience of 341,000.

Instead of airing out of “Awkward” or “Faking It,” this week’s “Follow The Rules” episodes followed MTV’s “Catfish: The Untold Stories.” The special attained 0.24 adults 18-49 rating and total viewership of 490,000.

The second half-hour of last week’s “Awkward” finale, which led into that night’s “Follow The Rules,” drew a 0.40 adults 18-49 rating and 737,000 total viewers.
