Ratings: ABC’s “Quantico” Scores Another Massive DVR Boost in Week Six

Positioned against Sunday Night Football, the World Series, and an overlapping “The Walking Dead,” the sixth episode of ABC’s “Quantico” drew series low ratings in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

Thanks to another week of strong time-shifted viewing, it more than doubles those numbers in Nielsen’s live+7 report.

The episode, which drew a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating and 4.049 million viewers on a live+same-day basis, posted a dramatically better 2.8 with 8.703 million in the L+7 report.

The sixth “Quantico” episode therefore received a 133% uptick in adults 18-49 and a 115% increase in viewership. The adults 18-49 lift was the week’s second-greatest percentage gain; only “America’s Next Top Model,” which improved from a 0.2 to a 0.5 (+150%), enjoyed a bigger boost.

The viewership gain is the week’s greatest from a percentage standpoint.

Other notable adults 18-49 gainers: “CSI: Cyber” (0.7 to 1.4, +100%), “The Player” (0.7 to 1.4, +100%), “The Vampire Diaries” (0.6 to 1.2, +100%), “The Originals” (0.4 to 0.8, +100%), and “Jane The Virgin” (0.3 to 0.6, +100%).

Other notable total viewership gainers: “The Vampire Diaries” (1.237 million to 2.349 million, +90%), “The Originals” (1.068m to 1.827m, +71%), “Blindspot” (7.906m to 13.308m, +68%), “Agents of SHIELD” (3.806m to 6.936m +68%).

— While still series lows for “Quantico,” the week six L+7 numbers are considerably more impressive and competitive than the L+SD marks.
