Ellie Goulding’s “Delirium” Pacing For 40-45K Sales; Little Mix’s “Get Weird” For 27-30K

While CMA-boosted albums like Chris Stapleton’s “Traveller” and Eric Church’s “Mr. Misunderstood” are commanding the lion’s share of attention (and will likely claim the top spots on the November 6-12 sales chart), several buzzworthy new releases also entered the market this week.

Thus far, Ellie Goulding’s “Delirium” and Tim McGraw’s “Damn Country Music” are pacing to be the best-selling of the new crop. Based on one day sales, Hits Daily Double expects a 40-45,000 weekly US sales total for both albums.

“Halcyon,” Goulding’s 2012 predecessor, sold 34,000 US copies in its first week. McGraw preceded “Damn Country Music” with “Sundown Heaven Town” (71,000).

— This week’s other notable newcomers include Little Mix’s “Get Weird,” Old Dominion’s “Meat And Candy,” and Sara Bareilles’ “What’s Inside: Songs From Waitress.”

Per Hits, Little Mix’s new album is on pace to sell 27-30,000 first-week copies in the US. Old Dominion’s album should move between 25 and 28,000, while Sara Bareilles’ LP is likely headed for a 21-24,000 bow.

Little Mix’s previous album “Salute” sold 43,000 first-week copies in the US. “Meat And Candy” is Old Dominion’s debut LP, while Sara Bareilles’ “What’s Inside” is a unique collection of songs from the “Waitress” musical (“The Blessed Unrest,” her previous, more conventional studio album, sold 68,000 in its inaugural frame).
