Ratings: MTV’s “Awkward,” “Faking It” Improve This Week

MTV’s Monday comedies “Awkward” and “Faking It” both enjoyed improvements in adults 18-49 and total viewership this week.

This week’s “Awkward” drew a 0.37 adults 18-49 rating with 707,000 total viewers.

Both numbers top those of the previous broadcast, which tied a series low in adults 18-49 (0.28) and set a new one in total viewership (498,000).

Lead-out “Faking It” also improved this week. It drew a 0.23 in the adults 18-49 demographic and reached 508,000 total viewers.

Last week’s episode managed a 0.20 rating with 390,000 viewers.

Despite the week-over-week gains, neither show’s performance can be described as successful. Positioned on the ultra-competitive Monday night, the current stretches of “Awkward” and “Faking It” episodes have been delivering considerably weaker numbers than the episodes from all previous seasons/half seasons.
