Ratings: “Faking It” Falls to New Viewership Low, “Awkward” Declines

Monday’s edition of “Faking It” suffered losses in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

The viewership loss resulted in a new series low for the MTV comedy.

Entitled “Faking It… Again,” Monday’s episode drew a 0.19 adults 18-49 rating with 374,000 total viewers. Both numbers trail those of last week’s broadcast, which posted a 0.25 with 584,000 total viewers.

The adults 18-49 rating stays narrowly ahead of the show’s previous 0.18 low mark, but the viewership tally indeed sets a new series low. Prior to Monday’s episode, no “Faking It” episode had drawn fewer than 401,000 viewers.

— MTV led into “Faking It” with “Awkward.” While its performance (0.32, 577,000 viewers) was not a series low, it did trail that of last week’s episode (0.38, 749,000 viewers).

Ratings for both “Awkward” and “Faking it” have suffered greatly in the new Monday night timeslot. “Faking It” may also be feeling the impact of a massive episode leak; unauthorized cuts of all season 2.2 episodes have emerged online.
