Fast National Update: FOX’s “Minority Report,” which posted disappointing premiere numbers last week, slipped in week two.
Per fast national data, Monday’s episode posted a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating with 2.68 million viewers; last week’s premiere drew a 1.1 with 3.10 million viewers.
Lead-in “Gotham” held steady this week. Last week’s premiere drew a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating with 4.57 million viewers; this week’s episode posted the exact same (rounded) figures.
=====================
Preliminary data suggests FOX’s “Minority Report” got even weaker in week two.
Per metered market data, Monday’s episode drew a 1.9 overnight household rating. That trails last week’s 2.3 by 17%.
A 17% post-premiere drop is not atypical, but it is problematic when initial rating is so poor.
While there is no guarantee the show suffered a similar loss in adults 18-49 and total viewership (that data will be available later this morning), the dip in overnight households strongly suggests the show did not enjoy massive gains in those other metrics. Last week’s episode posted a paltry 1.10 adults 18-49 rating with 3.097 million viewers.
— Lead-in “Gotham” posted a 3.4 this week. Unimpressive and a far cry from what the show was delivering early last season, the number nonetheless narrowly tops last week’s 3.2.
