Lana Del Rey’s “Honeymoon” Debuts With 105K First Week Sales, Starts at #2

A six-figure sales total earns Lana Del Rey’s “Honeymoon” the #2 position on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart. It also starts at #2 on the consumption-oriented Billboard 200.

According to Nielsen Music, “Honeymoon” sold 105,000 pure copies during the September 18-24 tracking week. That slots it beneath Drake and Future’s “What A Time To Be Alive” on the latest Top Album Sales listing.

With Track Equivalent Albums (10 single sales = 1 album equivalent unit) and Streaming Equivalent Albums (1500 single streams = 1 album equivalent unit) included, “Honeymoon” posted a first-week consumption total of 116,000 units. That is enough for the runner-up slot on the Billboard 200; the Drake-Future mixtape leads with 375,000 units.

“Ultraviolence,” the singer-songwriter’s previous album, launched at #1 with 182,000 pure sales (Billboard did not rank albums based on consumption units at the time of its release). Her 2012 release “Born To Die” started at #2 on the strength of 77,000 first week sales.
