While official data for the September 18-24 tracking week has not yet been published, enough insight is available to report that Selena Gomez’ “Good For You (featuring A$AP Rocky)” crossed the 1 million US sales mark.

Going into the week, “Good For You” needed fewer than 20,000 sales to cross into 1 million territory. Since it was expected to sell approximately 40,000 copies in the official tracking week, it was certainly able to achieve the feat.

“Good For You” is already certified platinum under the RIAA’s digital singles program. Issued August 24, that certification confirmed a US unit total of at least 1 million. One unit is equal to 1 sale or 1 paid download.

As of September 24, its pure sales total, alone, exceeds 1 million.

“Good For You” is not Gomez’ first platinum single. Last week, it did, however, become her first single to reach the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

It is presently working to hold off R. City’s surging “Locked Away (featuring Adam Levine)” for a third week at #1 on Mediabase’s pop radio airplay chart. “Come & Get It,” her only previous pop radio #1, ruled for just one week.
