Earlier this year, hot adult contemporary radio programmers demonstrated considerable support for Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song.” The track eventually reached #1 on Mediabase’s Hot AC airplay chart.
Those programmers continue to stand by Platten.
“Stand By You,” her new single, ranks as hot adult contemporary radio’s most-added song this week.
The follow-up to “Fight Song” scored adds from 31 Mediabase-monitored Hot AC programmers. The new wave of support will allow the song, which is already comfortably inside the Top 40, to continue soaring up the airplay chart.
Picked up by 19 stations this week, Maroon 5’s surefire hit “Feelings” follows as second-most-added. A pickup count of 15 earns Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?” the third-most-added distinction, while Jamie Lawson’s “Wasn’t Expecting That” (13 adds) and Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches” (12 adds) follow as fourth- and fifth-most-added, respectively.
Other notable Hot AC options: Andy Grammer’s “Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah)” (11 adds, 6th-most-added), Rob Thomas’ “Hold On Forever” (10 adds, 7th-most-added), Michael Franti & Spearhead’s “Once a Day” (9 adds, 8th), James Bay’s “Let It Go” (7 adds, 9th) and Marc Scibilia’s “How Bad We Need Each Other” (6 adds, 10th).
