Rachel Platten, George Ezra, Andy Grammer, Hailee Steinfeld Enter Hot AC’s Top 40

Thanks to the format’s fifth-greatest week-over-week spin gain, Rachel Platten’s new “Stand By You” rockets into the Top 40 of Mediabase’s hot adult contemporary airplay chart.

Spun 673 times during the September 13-19 tracking week, “Stand By You” blasts twenty six places to #31 on this week’s Hot AC chart.

Its weekly spin count bests last week’s (abbreviated) weekly total by 555 plays. Only R. City’s #8 “Locked Away” (+841), Taylor Swift’s #11 “Wildest Dreams” (+697), Maroon 5’s #24 “Feelings” (+690) and X Ambassadors’ #5 “Renegades” (+650) enjoyed greater week-over-week lifts.

“Stand By You” is the follow-up to Platten’s chart-topping “Fight Song.”

George Ezra’s “Blame It On Me” also reaches Hot AC’s Top 40 this week. Up three places, it grabs #38 on the strength of its 421 weekly plays (+67).

Andy Grammer’s new “Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah)” enters the Top 40 at #39. It rises seventeen places on the strength of its 346 weekly spins (+225).

Hailee Steinfeld’s Top 20 pop hit “Love Myself” grabs the last available Top 40 slot at Hot AC. Spun 312 times during the tracking week (+37), it rises four places to #40.
