While Chris Janson’s “Buy Me a Boat” is the #1 song on Mediabase’s country radio singles chart, it does not assume the peak position on Billboard’s corresponding, audience-driven Country Airplay chart.
That honor instead belongs to Kenny Chesney’s “Save It For a Rainy Day,” which rises three places to #1. It is the fourth straight chart-topper from Chesney’s “The Big Revival.”
“Save It For a Rainy Day” received a format-leading 48.070 million weekly audience impressions (+4.202 million). That count gives it a narrow edge over Keith Urban’s #2 “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16,” which received 47.324 million (+2.594 million).
Thanks to its 46.842 million impressions (+2.152 million), the aforementioned “Buy Me a Boat” is positioned at #3 on Country Airplay.
Brett Eldredge’s “Lose My Mind” (#4, +1 | 44.680 million, +2.764 million) and Thomas Rhett’s “Crash and Burn” (#5, -4 | 38.889 million, -8.280 million) complete the Top 5.
