Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?” Scoring Well With Pop Radio Listeners

Since debuting late last month, Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?” has earned significant airplay support from pop radio programmers.

Callout data suggests pop radio listeners are happy with that reality.

According to the latest Mediabase/CMM audience callout report, “What Do You Mean?” is thus far earning a stellar reception from pop radio listeners.

The song boasts a 68.1% positive score, a 19.1% negative score, and a 49.0% net positive score.

Mediabase’s report measures 33 active pop radio singles. “What Do You Mean?” holds the 4th-greatest negative score, the ninth-lowest negative score, and the sixth-highest net positive score.

While not as strong as those posted by Taylor Swift’s newly launched “Wildest Dreams,” the statistics are very impressive nonetheless.

And they are not even the song’s most impressive score.

That honor instead belongs to its “favorite” rating. A strong 29.6% of listeners identify “What Do You Mean?” as a favorite. Only The Weeknd’s “The Hills” (38.6%) and the aforementioned “Wildest Dreams” (38.0%) fare better in that regard.

“What Do You Mean?” was deemed familiar to 79.9% of the survey panel.
