Early Forecast Says Lana Del Rey’s “Honeymoon” Will Debut With 125K Sales

Per a very early industry forecast, Lana Del Rey’s new album “Honeymoon” will be her second to debut with a six-figure US sales total.

The guidance, which was issued by Hits Daily Double Friday afternoon, calls for an opening week total in the 125,000 ballpark.

Insofar as the album’s first day of availability has not even concluded, the figure should be considered rough. A firmer forecast should emerge in the coming days.

“Honeymoon” is Del Rey’s fourth studio album and third released on a major label. It succeeds 2014’s “Ultraviolence,” which moved 182,000 pure copies in its first week of release.

The aforementioned forecast is of the pure sales variety; the album’s (likely chart-topping) position on the Billboard 200 will be driven by the sum of its pure sales total, track equivalent albums (10 single sales = 1 unit) and streaming equivalent albums (1500 single streams = 1 unit).
