Idina Menzel’s “Let It Go” Earns 8X Platinum Certification

The key single from Disney’s blockbuster “Frozen” soundtrack recently earned a new multi-platinum mark from the RIAA.

On August 25, 2015, Idina Menzel’s “Let It Go” received an 8X certification.

Under the terms of the RIAA’s Digital Singles program, the 8x certification confirms that a US unit total of at least 8 million. One digital unit equals one paid download or 100 streams.

In addition to achieving ample commercial success, “Let It Go” won an Oscar and a Grammy.
