One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer are both releasing new albums this fall.
Based on industry tracking — and common sense — the two albums will debut with strong sales figures.
According to Hits Daily Double, One Direction’s fifth album — and first without Zayn Malik — is a safe bet to move 350,000 US copies in its first week. The album is slated to arrive in November.
“Sounds Good Feels Good,” 5 Seconds of Summer’s second studio album, will also get off to an impressive start. The album, which launches on October 23, could sell roughly 300,000 copies in its first week.
1D’s previous release “FOUR” debuted with 387,000 first-week sales. 5 Seconds of Summer’s self-titled debut sold 259,000 in its inaugural frame.
