Thomas Rhett’s “Crash and Burn” did anything but at country radio. The song this week reaches #1 on Mediabase’s country radio singles chart.
In doing so, it becomes Rhett’s fourth straight single (and fourth overall) to reach the top of the chart.
Not simply the leader in Mediabase chart points, the lead “Tangled Up” single was also the Mediabase country panel’s most-played and most-heard song during the September 6-12 tracking week.
According to Mediabase, the song received approximately 8,257 weekly plays (+397) and 55.760 million weekly audience impressions (+1.667 million).
Rhett previously reached #1 with “It Goes Like This,” “Get Me Some of That” and “Make Me Wanna.”
Dustin Lynch’s “Hell of a Night,” which topped last week’s chart, slips to #6 this week. It trails Chris Janson’s #2 “Buy Me a Boat,” Keith Urban’s #3 “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16,” Brett Eldredge’s #4 “Lose My Mind,” and Kenny Chesney’s #5 “Save It For a Rainy Day.”
Each up two places, the Eldredge and Chesney songs are new to the Top 5.
