The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” Blasts Past the 1.5 Million US Sales Mark

While official data has not yet been published, enough insight is available to confirm that The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” charged past the 1.5 million US sales mark during the September 4-10 tracking week.

Going into the week, “Face” had sold what Nielsen Music reports as 1,491,297 paid US downloads. Insofar as it reportedly sold upwards of 100,000 during the 9/4-10 frame — and obviously more than 9,000 copies — it undoubtedly crossed 1.5 million in total sales.

“Can’t Feel My Face” has already been certified 2x platinum based on a digital unit total in excess of 2 million. Under the terms of the RIAA’s digital singles program, a digital unit is equal to 1 paid download or 100 streams.

“Can’t Feel My Face” is cut from The Weeknd’s “Beauty Behind the Madness.” Later this weekend, Billboard will confirm that the album earned a second week at #1 on its consumption-driven Billboard 200 chart.
