The Weeknd’s “The Hills” Takes #1 at Rhythmic Radio, Rich Homie Quan Goes Top 5

Making good on Headline Planet’s projection, The Weeknd’s “The Hills” rises to #1 on this week’s Mediabase rhythmic airplay chart.

In achieving the four-place rise to #1, “The Hills” becomes the singer-songwriter’s third-straight song to top the rhythmic listing. Previous singles “Earned It” and “Can’t Feel My Face” also reached the apex of Mediabase’s chart.

“The Hills” received ~6,170 plays during the August 30-September 5 tracking week. Its week-over-week play increase of 971 ranks as the greatest for the rhythmic format.

Fetty Wap’s “My Way (featuring Monty)” slips from #1 to #2 this week. It scored ~5,699 tracking week spins (+5).

The Weeknd’s fellow single “Can’t Feel My Face” (#3, -2 | ~5,570, -7), Major Lazer & DJ Snake’s “Lean On (featuring MO)” (#4, = | ~5,148, -175) and Rich Homie Quan’s “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” (#5, +1 | ~4,378, +222).

The Rich Homie Quan song, which spent time at #1 on the urban airplay chart, is making its first appearance inside rhythmic’s Top 5.
