Ed Sheeran’s “Photograph” Grabs #1 at Hot AC; X Ambassadors’ “Renegades” Top 10

The picture atop the hot adult contemporary radio world indeed changes this week.

Making good on Headline Planet’s projection, Ed Sheeran’s “Photograph” claims #1 on this week’s Mediabase Hot AC airplay chart. It was #2 on last week’s chart.

Spun ~6,757 times during the August 23-29 tracking week (+363), “Photograph” seizes the throne from Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song.” “Fight Song,” which received ~6,539 weekly spins (-276), slips to #2 after four weeks on top.

The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” (#3, +2 | ~5,802, +298), Walk The Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” (#4, = | ~5,565, -36), and Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” (#5, -2 | ~5,436, -553) complete the Top 5.

— While X Ambassadors’ “Renegades” is no longer reigning over the alternative airplay chart, it continues to make gains at the Hot AC format. This week, it rises one place to #10.

The song’s inaugural Top 10 Hot AC appearance comes courtesy its ~3,935 tracking week spins (+680).
