Ratings: “Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll” Soars to Series High in Demo; Up 84% in Viewership

Last week, FX’s “Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll” crashed to series lows in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

This week, it rocketed to a series high in the former and its second-highest mark in the latter.

Thursday’s episode, which was the freshman comedy’s seventh broadcast, drew a 0.40 adults 18-49 rating with 785,000 total viewers.

The numbers dramatically top those of last week’s broadcast, which posted a mere 0.19 in adults 18-49 and reached only 426,000 viewers.

The 0.40 adults 18-49 rating is the show’s strongest to date. The viewership mark trails only that of the premiere episode, which reached 867,000 viewers (but a 0.35 in adults 18-49).

— “Married,” which led out of “Sex & Drugs,” also enjoyed significant improvement. Up from last week’s 0.19 with 377,000 viewers, this week’s episode drew a 0.32 A18-49 rating with 552,000 viewers.

The adults 18-49 number is a season high; the viewership total is the second’s second-best mark.
