“Smoke Break,” the lead single from Carrie Underwood’s “Storyteller,” did more than simply garner an enthusiastic impact week reaction from country radio programmers.
It also set a new record.
“Smoke Break” won adds from 145 Mediabase-monitored country radio stations. That is the greatest single-week adds total reported during the history of the Country Aircheck publication.
According to Sony Music, “Smoke Break” also received adds from 14 stations that are exclusive to the Billboard country radio panel. Underwood’s new tune, therefore, earned impact-week support from a whopping 159 Mediabase- and/or Billboard-monitored stations.
“Smoke Break,” obviously, ranks as the week’s most-added country song.
The music video for “Smoke Break” was scheduled to premiere Monday evening. The aforementioned “Storyteller” arrives on October 23, 2015.
