Carrie Underwood’s “Smoke Break” Debuts at #31 on MB Country Radio Chart

Powered by hourly iHeartRadio “World Premiere” airplay and the enthusiasm one would expect to accompany a lead Carrie Underwood single, “Smoke Break” debuts at #31 on this week’s Mediabase country radio singles chart.

The song, which premiered on the evening of August 20, received a total of 1,799 plays and 12.931 million audience impressions within the August 16-22 tracking week.

Because the chart is audience-driven (the iHeart promotion provided airplay in high-profile markets) and includes an extra day of tracking, “Smoke Break” is expected to debut at an even higher position on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. That listing will be issued Monday night.

In terms of Mediabase, “Smoke Break” is one of two new additions to the 50-song chart. Ronnie Dunn’s “Ain’t No Trucks in Texas,” the other, debuts at #50.
