Collectively, the songs on “Compton: A Soundtrack By Dr. Dre” sold just under 109,000 US copies during the August 7-13 tracking week.
“Medicine Man (featuring Eminem, Candice Pillay & Anderson .Paak),” the album’s best-selling cut, was responsible for approximately 18,000 of those paid US downloads.
The total, per Nielsen Music, was the week’s 18th-greatest for an R&B/Hip-Hop Song.
“Talk About It (featuring King Mez and Justus)” and “Talking to My Diary,” the album’s next-two best sellers during the August 7-13 tracking week, each moved approximately 13,000 copies.
“Compton: A Soundtrack” was exclusively available through iTunes/Apple Music during the August 7-13 tracking week.
In addition to driving roughly 276,000 complete US album sales and 109,000 US track sales, “Compton” also earned 11.4 million US streams during that seven-day period.
The aforementioned “Medicine Man” received 911,000 of those. “Talk About It” and “Talking to My Diary” drove approximately 1 million and 680,000 streams, respectively.
“Genocide (featuring Kendrick Lamar, Marsha Ambrosius and Candice Pillay),” the album’s most-streamed song during the opening tracking week, generated 1.1 million.
