Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” Holds #1 at Hot AC, The Weeknd Top 5, X Ambassadors Top 15

While Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” suffered a week-over-week airplay loss, its total easily ranked as the week’s greatest at hot adult contemporary.

As a result, it earns a third week at #1 on Mediabase’s Hot AC airplay chart.

“Fight Song” scored 7,018 spins during the August 9-15 tracking week. Down 155 from last week’s count, the tally nonetheless comfortably tops the 6,288 earned by Ed Sheeran’s #2 “Photograph” (+390). That song rises one place from last week’s position.

Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” slips to #3 (6,260 spins, -374), while Walk The Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” (#4, = | 5,557, -208) and The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” (#5, +2 | 5,099, +489) complete the Top 5.

The Weeknd’s “Face” is making its inaugural appearance in that portion of the chart.

Other movers this week:

X Ambassadors’ “Renegades” enters the Top 15. Up two places, it grabs #14 on the strength of its 2,718 tracking week spins (+454)

Meghan Trainor’s “Like I’m Gonna Lose You (featuring John Legend)” enters the Top 20. Spun 1,855 times during the tracking week (+335), it rises one place to #20.

Up four places, R. City’s “Locked Away (featuring Adam Levine)” reaches the Top 30 at #28. It received 967 tracking week spins (+342).
