One Direction’s “Drag Me Down” Erupts as Pop Radio’s Most-Added Song

Launched with the support of iHeartMedia’s network of pop stations and ample industry enthusiasm, One Direction’s “Drag Me Down” predictably ranks as pop radio’s most-added song.

According to Mediabase, the lead single from the boy band’s fifth studio album — and first as a foursome — won adds from 100 monitored pop radio stations. No station received even one-third of that support.

Disclosure’s “Omen (featuring Sam Smith),” which claims second on the add board, received adds from 32 stations. Jason Derulo’s “Cheynne” and Silento’s “Watch Me” follow in a tie for third-most-added. Each scored 27 weekly adds.

Added by 18 stations, R. City’s “Locked Away (featuring Adam Levine)” claims fifth-most added.

Other notable pop options: Felix Jaehn’s “Ain’t Nobody” (17 adds, 6th-most-added), Little Mix’s “Black Magic” (16 adds, 7th), Nico & Vinz’ “That’s How You Know” (15 adds, 8th), A Great Big World’s “Hold Each Other” (14 adds, 9th, tie), Afrojack’s “Summerthing!” (14 adds, 9th, tie).
