Hopsin’s “Pound Syndrome” Pacing for 14-16,000 First Week Sales

While it will not post a blockbuster weekly sales total, “Pound Syndrome” will easily earn Hopsin a career high position on the album sales chart.

According to Hits Daily Double, the rapper’s fourth studio album is expected to sell 14-16,000 traditional copies during the July 24-30 tracking week. If “Pound Syndrome” indeed generates such a sales total, it will land within the Top 15 of the Billboard Top Album Sales chart.

Such a position would easily represent a high mark for Hopsin, who had previously never gone higher than #76.

That peak position came for his late-2013 release “Knock Madness,” which moved 12,000 copies in the relevant tracking week (its first full week of availability).

This week’s other notable new releases include Jill Scott’s “Woman” (~50-55K), Lamb of God’s “VII” (~43-48K), “Southpaw” (~30-35K), Bea Miller’s “Not an Apology” (~24-27K), We Came as Romans’ “We Came as Romans” (~15-18K) and Jack & Jack’s “Calibraska” (~13-15K).

Holdovers from acts like Future, Taylor Swift, Tyrese, Alan Jackson, Meek Mill, and Ed Sheeran are also expected to land within the weekly Top 15.
