Update 2: As expected, Nielsen issued several revisions following the initial release of its album sales chart.
An updated top ten is available here.

Update: While Billboard reports a lesser first week total than that issued by Hits Daily Double, the outcome is the same: Future’s “DS2” claims the top spot on the weekly album sales chart.
Per Billboard/Nielsen’s first official update, “DS2” moved 121,000 pure copies during the July 17-23 tracking week. That easily earns it the #1 spot on Top Album Sales.
Hits Daily Double’s report credits “DS2” with 132,000 first week sales.
Seemingly due to issues with the new tracking period, Billboard and Nielsen needed to recalculate–and re-report–sales data in each of the previous two weeks. Given the possibility that a recalculation will again occur, readers should take the 121,000 figure (and all below figures) as tentative. A final number will be available by Tuesday.
With Track Equivalent Albums (10 single sales = 1 album sale) and Streaming Equivalent Albums (1500 single streams = 1 album sale) included, “DS2” boasts an opening week consumption total of approximately 147,000. That earns it the #1 spot on the Billboard 200.
The Top 10 of this week’s Billboard 200 follows (tentative until Tuesday):
1) Future – DS2 – 147K total units (121K from pure sales)
2) Taylor Swift – 1989 – 50K total units
3) Alan Jackson – Angels and Alcohol – 48K total units (45K from pure sales)
4) Tyrese – Black Rose – 47K total units
5) Jason Isbell – Something More Than Free – 41K total units (40K from pure sales)
6) Meek Mill – Dreams Worth More Than Money – 39K total units
7) Tame Impala – Currents – 38K total units (33K from pure sales)
8) Ed Sheeran – x – 32K total units
9) Sam Hunt – Montevallo – 30K total units
10) Kidz Bop 29 – 24K total units
