The Blake Shelton-Miranda Lambert marriage is coming to an end.
According to TMZ, the country music power couple recently filed to divorce. A judge was expected to finalize the divorce Monday.
While rumors of tension have long surrounded the couple, confirmed specifics on what led to the separation are unavailable. TMZ does, however, report that Shelton is the one who filed.
Since the couple had established a prenuptial agreement, the divorce’s key financial terms have already been addressed.
Per the official statement, “This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy heart that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real family, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
