Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany Finally Earns Best Actress Emmy Nomination

It took three seasons of critically acclaimed work, but “Orphan Black” actress Tatiana Maslany is finally in contention for an Emmy.

The “Orphan Black” actress, who famously plays a myriad of distinct clone characters, joins the six-woman race for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama.

Competing against Maslany will be Empire’s Taraji P. Henson, Homeland’s Claire Danes, How To Get Away With Murder’s Viola Davis, House of Cards’ Robin Wright and Mad Men’s Elisabeth Moss.

The nomination is a first for Maslany, whose omission from the 2013 and 2014 races was considered each year’s biggest snub.
