Without a major new release to consume the spotlight, Kenny Chesney’s “Save it for a Rainy Day” returns to the top of the country radio add board.
According to Mediabase, “Rainy Day” received pickups from 17 monitored country stations this week. That total establishes Chesney’s new single as the week’s most added song.
“Rainy Day,” which is already #26 on Mediabase’s country radio airplay chart, had previously topped the add board on June 29.
Cam’s “Burning House,” which ranked as last week’s most added song, lands in a three-way tie for second-most added this week. Like Keith Urban’s “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16” and James Otto’s “Somewhere Tonight,” it received adds from 15 monitored stations.
A total of 13 adds earns Miranda Lambert’s ‘Smokin’ and Drinkin’ (featuring Little Big Town)” the week’s fifth-most added label.
Other notable country radio options: Dierks Bentley’s “Riser” (10 adds, 6th-most added, tie), Tyler Farr’s “Withdrawals” (10 adds, 6th-most added, tie), Jerrod Niemann’s “Blue Bandana” (9 adds, 8th-most added), Kelsea Ballerini’s “Dibs” (8 adds, 9th-most added, tie), A Thousand Horses’ “(This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial” (8 adds, 9th-most added, tie).
