Royal Blood’s “Little Monster” Claims #1 at Rock Radio; Disturbed Goes Top 5

Courtesy hit single “Little Monster,” Royal Blood seizes the throne at US active rock radio.

Up two places, the cut from the duo’s self-titled debut claims #1 on this week’s Mediabase active rock airplay chart. It received a format-leading 1,748 spins (+31) during the July 5-11 tracking week.

“Little Monster” is Royal Blood’s third single to chart at US active rock radio. It is the act’s first to reach #1 on the Mediabase active rock chart.

Breaking Benjamin’s “Failure,” which spent eight weeks at #1 before slipping to #2 last week, once again claims the runner-up position. It received 1,607 tracking week spins (-183).

Theory of a Deadman’s “Angel,” which topped last week’s chart, falls to #3 this week on the strength of its 1,587 spins (-206). Halestorm’s “Amen” (#4, = | 1,551 spins, +64) and Disturbed’s “The Vengeful One” (#5, +2 | 1,425 spins, +205) complete the top five.

The Disturbed song makes its inaugural Top 5 appearance this week.
