Fetty Wap’s “679” Sells 86K; “Trap Queen” Nears 2 Million Sales

Credited with 1,103 prior sales, Fetty Wap’s “679 (featuring Remy Boyz)” did not truly emerge until the June 29-July 5 tracking week.

And it did so in a big way.

According to Nielsen Music, “679” drove 85,810 paid downloads during the tracking week. The total earned Fetty Wap’s new song the #7 position on Billboard’s all-genre Digital Songs chart.

When combined with stellar streaming, the impressive sales total thrust “679” into the #34 spot on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100. It was the week’s highest-charting debut.

The explosion of interest in “679” comes as Fetty Wap’s breakthrough “Trap Queen” approaches the 2 million sales mark.

Purchased another 77,059 times during the June 29-July 5 tracking week, it closed the period with 1.96 million cumulative sales. While this week’s data will not officially be reported until next week, it has very likely already crossed 2 million in real time.
