Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer” Debuted with 80K Sales

Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer,” which arrived on July 1, generated enough activity to debut at #36 on the weekly Billboard Hot 100.

The majority of that weekly activity came in the form of paid downloads.

As first reported by Headline Planet’s Brian Cantor and confirmed by Nielsen Music, “Cool for the Summer” moved approximately 80,000 US copies during the June 29-July 5 tracking week. Since it first emerged on July 1, “Cool for the Summer” was available for five of the tracking week’s seven days.

“Cool for the Summer,” which serves as the lead cut from Lovato’s forthcoming fifth album, generated 834,000 US streams within that same tracking week.
