Ratings: AMC’s “Humans” Falls Sharply in Week Two; “Halt and Catch Fire” Holds

The second episode of AMC’s new drama “Humans” markedly trailed the premiere in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

Sunday’s episode drew a 0.32 adults 18-49 rating with 1.091 million total viewers.

Last week’s premiere, which posted what were considered respectable but unspectacular numbers, drew a significantly stronger 0.53 rating and 1.726 million total audience members.

The first half of this week’s “Humans” aired against FOX’s post-World Cup coverage. Whether that competition was responsible for the ratings decline remains to be seen; an increase next week would go a long way in proving the validity of the excuse.

Leading out of the reduced “Humans,” sophomore drama “Halt and Catch Fire” effectively mirrored its previous numbers.

Sunday’s episode drew a 0.17 adults 18-49 rating with 558,000 total viewers. The previous week’s episode posted a slightly stronger 0.18 adults 18-49 rating but a slightly weaker 543,000 viewership tally.
