Tori Kelly’s “Unbreakable Smile” Debuts with 65.0K First Week Sales

Benefiting from immense industry buzz, strong fan support, a discounted $6.99 price and last-minute BET Awards exposure, Tori Kelly’s “Unbreakable Smile” debuted with an impressive first week sales figure.

According to Nielsen Music, the album moved a strong 64,980 copies during the June 22-28 tracking week.

At the high end of industry forecasts, the total earns “Unbreakable Smile” the #2 spot on this week’s Billboard Top Album Sales chart. Only Breaking Benjamin’s “Dark Before Dawn,” which moved a career-best 135,437 copies, fared better this past week.

With Track Equivalent Albums (10 single sales = 1 album sale) and Streaming Equivalent Albums (1500 single streams = 1 album sale) included, the opening week consumption total for “Unbreakable Smile” clocks in at 75,000 units. That earns the album the #2 spot on the revamped Billboard 200 chart.

“Unbreakable Smile” features Tori Kelly’s breakthrough effort “Nobody Love” and current single “Should’ve Been Us.”
