Two alternative singles earned gold certifications during the month of June.
The first to do so was MisterWives’ “Reflections,” which formally earned its gold distinction on June 8.
News of the gold certification comes as follow-up single “Our Own House” begins to establish itself at radio. The title track from the band’s debut studio album, “Our Own House” is currently one of the alternative radio format’s Top 60 songs.
One week later, Atlas Genius received a gold distinction for its single “Trojans.” The Top 5 alternative hit was the lead single from the band’s “When It Was Now.”
Attention now turns to single “Molecules,” which this week ranked as alt radio’s most added song.
A gold certification confirms a US unit total in excess of 500,000 units. Under the terms of the RIAA’s digital singles program, a unit is equal to 1 paid download or 100 streams.
