Hot 100: Charlie Puth & Meghan Trainor, Sage the Gemini & Nick Jonas Enter Chart

Two collaborative efforts arrive on this week’s edition of the Billboard Hot 100.

Charlie Puth’s “Marvin Gaye (featuring Meghan Trainor),” the first of the two, makes its inaugural Hot 100 appearance at #87.

The track is the second Hot 100 entry for Puth (whose Wiz Khalifa collaboration “See You Again” is currently #1) and fourth for Meghan Trainor (who charted with “All About That Bass,” “Lips are Movin” and “Dear Future Husband”).

While not yet charting inside the Top 40 on any individual radio chart, “Marvin Gaye” has begun to gain traction at both pop and hot adult contemporary/adult pop. It is also performing well from a sales standpoint.

Also new to the Hot 100 is Sage The Gemini’s “Good Thing (featuring Nick Jonas).” The collaborative effort, which is currently charting at rhythmic and pop radio, debuts at #100 on the all-encompassing Hot 100.
