The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” Enters Top 20 at Pop, Rhythmic Radio

Last week, The Weeknd’s new “Can’t Feel My Face” landed just outside of pop radio’s Top 20.

This week, it crosses that threshold. Living up to lofty expectations, the singer-songwriter’s new single reaches #17 on the Mediabase pop airplay chart after just two weeks of availability.

Up four places from last week’s position, the song received ~5,841 spins during the June 14-20 tracking week. Its week-over-week gain of 2,056 was the pop format’s greatest.

While last week’s impressive spin count was bolstered by promotional first-day airplay from iHeartMedia, this week’s total is of the organic variety. The journey to the top is a long one, but the song’s second week growth bodes well for its prospect of getting there.

— Not simply a pop hit, “Can’t Feel My Face” is also on the move at rhythmic. The song reaches the same #17 position on the Mediabase rhythmic chart. Up eight places from last week’s position, “Face” received ~2,225 weekly spins (+1,168).

— “Can’t Feel My Face” is the only new member of pop radio’s Top 20. Silento’s “Watch Me,” meanwhile, enters that portion of the rhythmic airplay chart. It rises three places to #18 this week.
