Tori Kelly’s “Should’ve Been Us” Soars Into Pop Radio’s Top 50

Tori Kelly’s “Should’ve Been Us,” which this past week ranked as pop radio’s most added song, enters the Top 50 on the format’s official airplay chart.

Up twenty one places, the follow-up to Kelly’s breakthrough “Nobody Love” reaches #44 on this week’s Mediabase pop airplay chart. It received 841 spins during the May 31-June 6 tracking week.

According to Mediabase, the song owes its early success to the Cumulus group of radio stations. While there are some notable exceptions, including Radio Disney and CBS’ 99-7 Now, the majority of its early format leaders are Cumulus channels.

“Should’ve Been Us” is the second straight Top 50 pop entry for Kelly. The aforementioned “Nobody Love,” which received support from the iHeartRadio “On the Verge” program, peaked inside the Top 50.

Like “Nobody Love,” “Should’ve Been Us” is cut from Tori Kelly’s forthcoming album “Unbreakable Smile.” The singer-songwriter’s debut LP ships on June 23.
