OMI’s “Cheerleader” Goes Top 20 at Pop; Sia, George Ezra Also Enter

OMI’s infectious song of the summer candidate “Cheerleader” is officially a Top 20 hit at pop radio.

The song surges nine places to a new high of #17 on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart. It received a healthy ~5,236 spins during the May 31-June 6 tracking week.

The track, meanwhile, enjoys a concurrent lift at rhythmic radio. Up three places, it hits #16 on the rhythmic chart courtesy its ~2,036 weekly spins.

As far as pop goes, two songs join “Cheerleader” in reaching the format’s Top 20.

Sia’s enduring “Elastic Heart” is the higher charting of the two. It ascends four places to a new peak of #18. The single received ~5,056 weekly spins.

George Ezra’s alternative and hot adult contemporary hit “Budapest” also joins that portion of the chart. Spun ~4,401 times, the song rises five places to a new pop peak of #19.

— Despite losing airplay this week, Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen” re-enters the Top 20 at #20.
